Reflections on competency typically refer to the process of self-assessment and introspection regarding one's skills, abilities, and behaviors related to a particular competency or set of competencies.
Reflection in competency involves:
Self-Assessment: Reflecting on your performance and capabilities within a specific competency area. This could include evaluating strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement
Feedback: Seeking and considering feedback from others, such as supervisors, peers, or mentors, regarding your competency. This external perspective can provide valuable insights and perspectives that may not be immediately apparent.
Development: Identifying areas where further development or learning may be needed to enhance competency. This could involve setting goals, acquiring new skills, or refining existing ones.
Applications: Applying insights gained through reflection to improve performance and achieve professional or personal goals related to the competency in question.
In reflection, there are 3 question types, such as:
Open Questions: refers to the questions that are designed to elicit detailed and expansive responses. These questions typically do not have a simple "yes" or "no" answer and instead encourage the students to provide their thoughts, opinions, experiences, or explanations.
Single Choice: refers to a type of question format where students are required to select only one answer from a list of options provided.
Multiple Choices: refers to a type of question that formally allows students to select more than one option provided in the answer. However, the students are required to select only the correct answers to get the score.
